When a site gets screwed up, you bet your ass they're up all night till it's fixed. Any small benefits or profits he has gained over the years he deserves, from all the work he has put in to his site that so many people use and all the time he probably invested. He probably put a lot of his own money into the site. He's probably putting that money into the site. Whatever deal the TA guy got, I doubt he's going to buy a summer house with it. Which I'm totally fine with, I supply information I have about a game to this site in the hopes someone else will supply information about a game I don't know about to this site. Whenever you supply content (information or art) to a source via a official means (uploading it to their server or a contest) they usually specify that they're allowed to use your content for advertising purposes and are allowed to gain monetary value without ever having to pay you. I don't mind this at all as the sites I use they don't ask me to pay them money to use their site even though they ask for donations and I would really like to donate to them all, I don't have to. I post a guide on a site, someone does a Google search for that game, sees the guide, clicks the link an then that site gets money when the person loads up the ads. If I knew someone else was going to get paid for all my hard work then I would turn them down.Have you ever provided information to this site or any other? They're gaining revenue off your work. This is what you're missing, those are all very big companies and the products that are advertised are usually stuff you can find at a store or are commercials you would see on TV. Someone has a site with viruses and gets app users to use them and screw up their computers, maybe try to steal their Xbox info claiming to be a legit source "as seen on the ad on the Xbox One, get free Microsoft games when you login with your Xbox account". So I'm not seeing any ads period on XBA specifically but I've seen ads on other sites on friends computers or public ones, like really sketchy infomercial level stuff like "best brand camping gear" or diet pills. I don't actually get ads while on my computer, I have some type of Linux OS that has all kinds of add-ons. Most sites use the Google ad thing which again can be almost anything. Not allowing ads for TA/XBA is lame for those sites unless Microsoft is paying for some kind of achievement guide app that isn't linked to the site or use their name. But you did? You said you saw no difference when a drastic one exists. YouTube, Twitch, Hulu plus, fox now, and machinima all have ads.

They'd be able to get appropriate ads and Microsoft could put restrictions on ads, it's not like it would all be internet porn, 'the competition’ and Viagra. Maybe they use the ads that tailor to what you search online? I see nothing wrong with the ads I see if they were on an all ages app. You see Viagra ads on XBA? I see star wars rebels, Allstate car insurance, and a local car dealer. I know they make the call about advertisements on the dashboard, I never said anything against that.
